THE DESIGN

Built around the one thing knee straps get wrong.

Most straps slide. This one is designed, end to end, to stay exactly where you set it and stay comfortable while it does.

StayPut™

It stays exactly where you put it.

A silicone grip band runs the full inside face, so the strap holds its position through hills, stairs and a long afternoon in the garden. No reaching down to pull it back up. That is the promise the guarantee is written on: it stays put, or your money back.

Support lands right below the kneecap.

The cushioned pad sits in the soft channel under the kneecap rather than across the joint, so the pressure is steady and nothing presses on the knee itself.

The slim knee strap sitting just below the kneecap, feet up on the sofa
CoolKnit™

Cool enough to forget by lunchtime.

An open-knit cover moves air instead of trapping it, so there is no hot, damp band to peel off halfway through the day.

One hand, standing up.

A single pull tab sets the tension without sitting down, taking off a shoe or rethreading anything. Adjust it at the front door and go.

Slim in front, open behind.

A low-profile pad and a clear back mean nothing bunches in the crease of your knee. It will not pinch when you bend, and it disappears under trousers.

How to wear it

Three steps, ten seconds, then you forget it is there

There is no sizing chart and nothing to learn. Placement is the whole trick, and it is one inch of your leg.

  1. Placing the slim knee strap in the soft dip just below the kneecap

Sit it just below the kneecap

Find the soft dip directly below your kneecap and rest the cushioned pad in it. Not over the cap, not down on the shin. That one inch is the difference between a band on your leg and real support under it.

Below the kneecap. Never down on the shin.

  2. The knee strap seated directly below the kneecap, a fingertip on the soft spot above the pad

Pull it snug with one hand

The tab sits at the front, so you set the tension looking straight down at it. Pull until it feels firm and settled, then stop. You are not trying to squeeze the leg, and you never have to reach around the back of your knee.

Firm, not tight. One finger of room.

  3. Fastening the knee strap: the grey tail pulled through the steel D-ring and set snug

Go and do the thing you have been putting off

The long walk, the border that needs weeding, the second flight of stairs, an afternoon with the grandkids. StayPut holds the position you set, so you are not stopping every ten minutes to pull it back up.

Wears over or under clothing. Both work.

If it will not stay where you set it, send it back for a full refund.

THE DIFFERENCE

The ordinary knee strap, and ours

The difference shows up about twenty minutes in, on the third flight of stairs.

The ordinary knee strap

Drugstore elastic and a plastic slider

  • Rolls down the leg until it is sitting somewhere near your shin
  • Digs in behind the knee every time you bend to reach the low beds
  • Wants re-tightening every twenty minutes, so you stop and fix it
  • Traps the heat, then sits damp against your skin for the rest of the walk
  • Looks like medical equipment, so it lives in the drawer

The Care of June strap

StayPut™ silicone and a CoolKnit™ weave

  • Stays where you put it, walk after walk, on StayPut™ silicone
  • Sits flat behind the knee, so kneeling and stairs stay comfortable
  • Adjusts one-handed in a second, without taking it off
  • CoolKnit™ weave breathes and dries out on a warm afternoon
  • Looks like something you would actually wear, over or under clothes

It stays put, or you get your money back. That is the whole guarantee.

In the garden
I put it on to do the flower beds and then forgot about it. Three hours later I was still out there filling the third bag of clippings, and I only remembered it was on when I came in to wash my hands. That has not happened for a long while.

Travel day
We flew out in May and of course it was the far gate, the one right at the end of everything. I did the whole walk without looking for a bench. Wore it under my pants on the flight too and nobody knew it was there.

The school run
I have my grandson three days a week, so that is the school run twice a day plus the park after. The sleeve I had before used to roll down before we even reached the gate. This one has not moved once. Goes on at eight, comes off at six.

Dog walks
We are back on the hill behind the house. There is a rocky stretch near the top I had been going around for two years, and Bess pulls like anything on the way down. Downhill was always the bit I dreaded and it is the bit this helps most.

Getting the fit right
Honest review. The first day I had it far too tight, so go easier than you think you need to. Once I had it set right it simply stays put. No hitching it back up every ten minutes like the last three I bought and gave away.

On your feet all day
Bought the 2-pack so there is always a dry one. I am on my feet at work and it is stairs all day, up to the stockroom and back down. Fridays I used to be counting the hours. Last week I did not think about my knee once, which is really the point.

Before you order

The questions people ask us most

Straight answers on fit, wearing it all day, and getting your money back.

Will it slide down when I move?
No, and that is the one job it is built to do. The StayPut™ silicone lining holds against skin or fabric, and the dial locks the tension exactly where you set it, so the strap stays under the kneecap through walks, stairs and a long afternoon in the yard. If it ever slides on you, that is what the 60-day promise is for.
How do I know which size to order?
There is one size and it adjusts to you. The Care of June Knee Strap fits knees measuring roughly 12 to 18 inches around. Take a tape or a piece of string around your leg just above the kneecap, and if you land near the top of that range the dial still has room to spare.
Which knee does it go on?
Either one. The strap is symmetrical, so the same strap works on your left knee or your right, and you can swap it over whenever you like. Plenty of people keep one for each knee, which is why we sell it in pairs as well as singles.
Can I wear it under my pants?
Yes. It sits low and narrow just below the kneecap, so it disappears under jeans, work pants and leggings without a bulge. It grips fabric as well as skin, so on days when it is easier you can simply wear it on the outside.
Can I wear it all day?
Yes, and most people end up doing exactly that. Set it snug rather than tight and it is light enough to forget about between the morning walk and the last of the weeding. If it ever starts to feel too firm, loosen the dial a notch and carry on.
Will it get too hot in summer?
Far less than a full sleeve does. CoolKnit™ fabric is built to breathe, and the strap covers one narrow band rather than wrapping the whole joint, so there is very little to trap heat. That is the difference you feel on a warm afternoon of yard work.
Can I wear it for gardening, walking or golf?
Yes, and those are the days it was made for. Long walks, hills, stairs, kneeling in the beds, a full round, keeping up with the grandkids. It is designed for ordinary movement first, though it holds up perfectly well at the gym.
How long before I notice a difference?
Most people feel steadier the first time they put it on, because the support is mechanical rather than something that has to build up over weeks. Give it a couple of weeks of normal wear to find your tension setting, and you still have the rest of the 60 days to decide.
How do I wash it?
By hand, in cool water with a little mild soap, then leave it to air dry. Skip the dryer, the iron and fabric softener, which dull the silicone grip. It takes two minutes, and the strap comes back holding like new.
What if it is not right for me?
Send it back within 60 days for a full refund, worn or not. Returns and exchanges run through a simple online portal, and a real person answers every support email. If the strap will not stay put for you, you should not be paying for it.
